Private and Semi-Private Suites
Our accommodations include:
- Private suites with king or queen beds, en-suite bathrooms, and quiet sitting areas
- Semi-private suites with two beds, separated by partial walls or curtains for personal space
- Custom temperature control in every room
- High-quality bedding and linens
- Daily housekeeping
Most clients choose private suites for the complete privacy. Semi-private rooms suit clients who appreciate having a roommate or are managing cost.
Chef-Prepared Meals
Three meals a day plus snacks, prepared by our culinary team:
- Built around recovery nutrition (anti-inflammatory, blood-sugar-stabilizing, micronutrient-dense)
- Adjusted for the early days of detox when digestion needs gentleness
- Tailored to personal dietary restrictions (vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, halal, kosher)
- Quality ingredients, not institutional food
Many clients tell us this is one of the most surprising aspects of their stay — they expected hospital cafeteria fare and got restaurant-quality cooking instead.
Tropical Pool and Outdoor Spaces
Our private estate includes:
- A resort-style pool with surrounding deck
- Healing gardens with native plants and walking paths
- Multiple outdoor sitting areas
- Covered patios for shade
- Fire pits for evening gatherings
The desert setting is part of the therapy. Time outdoors, fresh air, and access to water support both the physical recovery from substance use and the psychological work of treatment.

Why Luxury Matters Clinically
This is the question we hear most often: is the luxury just for show?
No. The setting matters in concrete, evidence-based ways:
1. Lower Resistance to Entry
Many clients only agree to treatment because the facility does not feel punitive. The image of rehab as fluorescent-lit institutional misery keeps people from getting help. A setting that feels like a retreat removes that barrier.
2. Better Physical Recovery
Sleep, nutrition, time outdoors, exercise, and rest are foundational to physiological recovery from substance use. A setting that supports these (quiet rooms, real food, outdoor access, gentle movement) accelerates the body's healing.
3. Higher Engagement in Therapy
Clients who feel respected and comfortable engage more openly with therapy. A setting that signals dignity reduces shame, defensiveness, and the urge to discharge against medical advice.
4. Lower AMA Discharge Rates
Patients who leave residential treatment against medical advice (AMA) have dramatically worse outcomes than those who complete the program. A setting that supports staying — that does not feel like prison — meaningfully reduces AMA rates.
5. Privacy
The setting supports the discretion that high-profile clients need. The estate is residential, not commercial. The atmosphere is calm. There is no waiting room of strangers.
What Luxury Does NOT Mean
Luxury at BetterChoice does not mean:
- Loose clinical standards
- Permissive treatment culture
- Vacation-style schedules
- Unlimited communication or visitors
- Anything goes
The structure is real. The therapy is rigorous. Days are full. The amenities support the work — they do not replace it.
The Bottom Line
Choosing a luxury treatment center is not choosing comfort over clinical quality. It is recognizing that the setting itself is part of how recovery happens — and choosing a place where the environment supports the work rather than fighting against it.
