We strongly encourage family involvement. However, during the initial detox phase, we restrict contact to allow you to focus entirely on stabilization. Once stabilized, we have designated visiting hours and integrate family therapy into your treatment plan.

What is a Dual Diagnosis?

Dual diagnosis means treating an addiction alongside a co-occurring mental health condition, such as depression, anxiety, or PTSD. We treat both simultaneously, as leaving the mental health condition untreated often leads to relapse.

Do you offer medically supervised detox?

Yes. Our medical detox is overseen by board-certified doctors and nurses 24/7. We use Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) to safely manage withdrawal symptoms and ensure you are as comfortable as possible.

Can I keep my phone and laptop?

During the first days of detox we limit devices so you can focus on stabilizing. After that, most patients earn scheduled phone and device time. Executives who must stay in touch with work can discuss extended access with the clinical team.

Will my employer find out I went to rehab?

Not from us. Federal privacy laws (HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2) prevent us from telling anyone you are here without your written permission. Many patients use FMLA — the Family and Medical Leave Act — which protects your job for up to 12 weeks without requiring you to tell your employer why.

What happens after detox?

Accepted Answer

Detox stabilizes the body but does not treat the addiction itself. Most patients step into our residential inpatient program, where therapy, group work, and relapse prevention planning happen. Before discharge, we build an aftercare plan: outpatient therapy, sober living if needed, and alumni support.

Do you accept Medicaid or Medicare?

We are not currently in-network with Medicaid or Medicare. We work with most commercial PPO plans and TRICARE, and we offer private-pay and financing options. If we are not the right fit, our admissions team will point you toward facilities that accept your coverage.

I live in another state. Can I come to BetterChoice?

Yes. Many of our patients travel from California, Arizona, Utah, and beyond. Las Vegas is served by direct flights from most U.S. cities, and we arrange pickup from Harry Reid International Airport. Traveling for treatment also puts healthy distance between you and the people and places tied to substance use.
